Sanya to build itself into National Ecology Garden City
Recently, Sanya’s urban green space system planning has successfully passed evaluation by experts and will be released to the public for one month before being approved.
Sanya is going to focus on its green space expansion, combining mountains and sea to build itself into a national ecology garden city and a world-class international tropical coastal tourism destination.
Under the plan, the green density of Sanya downtown (including Phoenix Town and Jiyang Town) and townships will be 45% and 38% and the average green space and park area per capita will be 23.47 square meters per person and 14 square meters respectively in 2020.
The space structure of the urban green space system consists of three landscape belts covering the coastal ecological landscape belt and landscape corridors of mountain and water.
The coastal ecological landscape belt runs from west to east of urban areas linking the urban regions with the coastal scenic areas.
