The world’s biggest coffee chain will open its first store in Sanya this month as it seeks to meet a growing demand in the city for coffee.

Hainan is one of the most famous tourist destinations in China. The rapid tourism development and good investment environment have spawned a booming market for cafés.

The company, which has eyed the Hainan market for many years, has chosen its first location at La Flora Plaza of Yalong Bay.

According to Starbucks, the café products served in Sanya will be tailored to suit local tastes and the designs of the branches in Hainan will be imbued with local characteristics.

The company also said that they will open more branches in Haikou in order to bring the unique Starbucks experience to as many people as possible once it enters Hainan market.
