Despite the implementation of a national purchase limit policy, non-island home buyers have been a major force of commercial residential home purchases in Sanya. Among them, buyers from northeast regions top the list.

Take buyers from Heilongjiang Province for example, from whom the total sales of commercial residential property transactions in the first 7 months of 2012 reached 1.6 billion yuan, putting them at the top list of non-island buyers.

Compared with the Hedong Area and Hexi Area, which are under the scope of the house purchase limit policy issued by the central government this March to rein in the property market, real estate in the tourism development zone including Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay, Haitang Bay and Hongtang Bay are still attractive and offer no obstacles to high-end buyers.

The government has organized a series of property promotion activities in major domestic cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Taiyuan and Tangshan to lure in more potential buyers.

According to the latest statistics released by the China Index Research Institution, the average price of Sanya’s newly constructed apartments in November stood at 18,300 sqm, a decrease of 0.55% from the previous month.
