On the evening of December 1st, Sanya’s Deputy Mayor Gu Jingqi met with a delegation from Nanjing University Alumni Association from the United States (NUAA-US) at the Sanya Shanhaitian Hotel.

The delegation, which was comprised of 20 individuals, was invited by the Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province to pay a 5-day visit to Sanya and Haikou from November 30th to December 4th. The visit was aimed at discussing the possibility of future cooperation between the two regions, in pharmacy, industry, chemical industry and talent introduction.

Mr. Gu warmly welcomed the delegation and explained the development of Sanya’s economy and society, and the construction of the tourism island, commenting that this visit will improve exchanges and cooperation in tourism and education between the two regions.

Members of the delegation said that they were deeply impressed by the beautiful landscape of Sanya, and that they will tell more friends to travel to Sanya, and cast investments here in order to bring more high-level foreign professionals to Sanya, Hainan and the rest of the country.
