Sanya is to develop a new tourism development zone which will cover an area of about 126.63 hectares.

The general plan for the new Zhuluoling Tourism Area was formally approved by the Sanya Municipal Government on November 28th. The projects construction will be divided into two phases and is expected to be completed in 2020.

Located 25 kilometers away from the downtown center, Sanya’s Zhuluoling Zone will have easy access to Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay. The project is part of the major push for the construction of the Haitang Bay National Coast.

According to the project plans, the region will be divided into three core sections, including the tourism resort zone, mountain sports zone and RVs campsite zone.
