As of November 29th the passenger throughput of the Sanya Phoenix International Airport once again hit 10 million, 23 days earlier than the first time it reached that number on December 22nd, 2011.

The airport is expected to receive 11.3 million passengers this year, a 9.1% increase from last year.

With the policy supported by the government, the airport has been busy expanding its air routes network to provide more convenient air travel for its customers. This year the airport has added 5 domestic flights and 4 international flights to Taiwan, Mongolia, Russia and Korea.

The airport will continue to expand and strengthen its market cooperation with other airline companies, by introducing larger aircraft and upgrading flight programs to meet the increasing demands of passengers during the peak season.
