Sanya to construct 5 new scenic spots

In order to become the world famous, Asian first-class tourist destination, Sanya is planning to build 5 new scenic spots and plans on the construction of scenic spots of Yacheng Town, Yazhou Bay, Phoenix Town, Jiyang Town and Yucai Town have been approved by experts and will soon start construction.

Yacheng Town is located in the west of Sanya with amazing natural landscapes and abundant cultural resources. It is also a historical and cultural town. The city’s two 5A national scenic spots Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone and Daxiaodongtian Scenic Spot are situated within the area. The government is striving to build it into the cultural tourism circle in the western regions.

Covering an area of 61 square kilometers, Yazhou Bay has been an important historical site in Hainan. It had also been the favorite port for the maritime trade route in the southern most of China.

A special focus will be directed towards developing marine tourism like cruise, yacht and seawater plane, integrating large-scale entertainment, golf and duty-free business. 

Under the plan, Phoenix Town will make full use of its geographical advantages to develop tourism, modern agriculture and service industries and turn it into the scenery town combining commerce, catering, tourism product processing service base and the rural tourism.

Enjoying a good location, Jiyang Town has an easy access to some there are state-level traveling resort area-the Yalong country traveling resort area, and several other scenic spots.In the coming 10years, It will strive to be a livable town based on tourism services, military port services and environmental protection indus.

As a typical town of Li & Miao minority, Yucai Town has a rich Li & Miao culture backgrounds. It will be built into a display area of Li & Miao sceneries and an ecological tourism town featuring pastoral scenery, folk customs and resorts.
