3rd Annual Integrated Resorts Conference held at Renaissance Sanya Resort
Chen Tiejun, the Deputy Director General of Hainan Tourism Development Commission delivered a warm welcome speech to all the attendees at 3rd Annual Integrated Resorts Conference 2012.
The 3rd Annual Integrated Resorts Conference 2012, which was organized by Marcus Evans, was held at the Renaissance Sanya Resort & Spa from November 26th to 28th.
Over 80 resort professionals from all over the world attended the conference, including government agencies, developers, and hospitality and leisure operators.
Chen Tiejun, the Deputy Director General of the Hainan Tourism Development Commission, delivered a warm welcome speech to all attendees, saying that the conference highlighted global case studies and provided an excellent networking platform for professionals directly linked to the growth and development of tourism products.
Commenting on Sanya having been selected as the host city for the 2012 Integrated Resort Conference, Mr. Chen said Hainan is emerging as a destination for integrated resort visitors. The government is keen to develop its own tourism infrastructure and is racing to develop the city’s reputation as a destination which can attract and capture a share of the growing tourism market.
The 3-day agenda included a choice of two streams over the two days and a third day focus on ‘World Class Hotels: Partnering, Profiting and Innovating’. The streams for the first two days of the conference were Master-planning & Innovative Technologies, and Commercialization & New Projects.
The conference, which finished on November 28th, focused on various thematic issues in planning and future development, as well as operations and project management necessary for the development of successful Integrated Resorts.
