3,180 bottles of counterfeit alcohol products were recently destroyed on November 23rd in the city’s latest move to crack down on illegal alcohol products.

The destroyed items, which were confiscated by the Sanya Commerce Bureau, included more than 10 brands.

This year, the bureau assigned 580 law enforcement inspectors to deal with 28 cases of the production and sale of illegal alcohol products. The bureau confiscated fake and inferior products worth up to 350,000 yuan.

The bureau said that a complaint hotline ‘12312’ will soon to open to the public as part of a crackdown on fake alcohol products in order to better regulate the alcohol market.
