The trial operation of a new bus route in Haitang Bay area, Sanya, was started recently. The route will be free for tourists and local residents while it is in its trial run. Authorities have said that such a measure will make up for the relative shortage of public transportation in the city at the moment.
 
The bus route covers 18 stops, which include Wuzhizhou Island, Jianglin Village, PLA 301 Hospital, Haitang Bay Gloria Sanya, Kempinski Haitang Bay Resort, Wanda Theater, Sheraton Resort, International Shopping Center, Intersection of Tengqiao Expressway, the entrance of Shenquan Hot Spring Resort and Haohaipo Hot Spring Resort.
 
The whole route is 42 kilometers and takes 90 minutes. At the beginning, a bus will depart every 12 minutes from 6:50 am to 7 pm. When the bus route is implemented formally, the fare will be calculated by the distance travelled.
 
In addition to this, the route for Bus No.33, which runs between Sanya Phoenix international Airport and Haitang Bay will be opened by the end of this month.
