The Research Society of China’s City Development made a comprehensive assessment of the health of over 200 cities nationwide and unveiled the results in their “2013 Healthy Cities in China” assessment recently.
  
The assessment was carried out based on 16 specific indexes, covering four criterions: environmental health, health culture, medical conditions and societal health.
  
The top 15 healthy sub-provincial cities in China were, in order: Xiamen, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Dalian, Qingdao, Shenyang, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Changchun, Jinan, Guangzhou, Harbin, Xi’an, Wuhan and Nanjing.
  
Kunming topped the list of the healthiest provincial cities in China, followed by Haikou, Lhasa, Fuzhou, Hohhot, Yinchuan, Changsha, Nanning, Guiyang, Urumqi, Nanchang, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Hefei and Lanzhou.

 
In addition, the Jingdezhen City in Jiangxi Province ranked first place on the list of the healthiest prefecture cities in China.
