CCTV helps Sanya cops to catch 3 robbers who targetted foreign tourists
The robbery took place on the afternoon of October 31st, while two Hungarian tourists were cycling along the Yefeng Road. Three men on motorcycles snatched at the bags which had been put in the front basket of the bike the two foreigners were riding. The bags contained cash, cell phones, glasses and other items which were worth 9,000 yuan in total.
The local police acted immediately after the incident was reported. After a two day investigation during which police questioned the people who were near when the incident occurred, and by carefully examining CCTV footage, they finally had enough information on the three robbers to then arrest them on November 3rd.
The three suspects have confessed to conducting the robbery and the case is now under further investigation
