Haikou Meilan Int’l Airport’s passenger throughput up 3.2% in Dec 2013

Haikou Meilan International Airport Co Ltd, an aeronautical business operator based in Hainan Province, has said that its passenger volume reached 1.12 million in Dec 2013, 3.21% more than in the same month of 2012.

Last month, the company's aircraft movements climbed 5.75% year on year to 8,327, according to a statement filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In the month of Dec, the airport's cargo and mail throughput increased 11.08% year on year to 19,900 tons.

In whole year of 2013, the company's passenger throughput amounted to 11.94 million, 11.58% more than in the previous year, and its aircraft movements rose 11.23% from a year earlier to 88,859.

Cargo and mail throughput reached 196,300 tons in 2013, up 11.94% from the same period of last year.
