Golfers from the Ladies European Tour recently took the time to visit a local orphanage despite their busy preparations for the Sanya Ladies Open.

The players brought gifts of books, candy, toys, clothes and food to the orphanage, where 51 orphans are staying, most of whom have disabilities.

Chinese team member Lu Yuexia said it was a unique opportunity for the lady golfers to show their compassion for the children and play with them in their home, and that she would like to see more people care for these children to ensure they enjoy a better future and healthy development.

The president of the welfare house, Wang Shaomin, expressed his gratitude to the tournament organizers and players for visiting and using their influence to direct more attention to the orphans.

The Sanya Ladies Open will be held at Yalong Bay Golf Club for the 3rd year from November 2nd to 4th and has attracted 114 top players from around the world.
