The on-site demonstration of video inspection was held by Sanya public security bureau

On the morning of October 26th, an on-site demonstration of a video inspection was held by the Sanya public security bureau. According to reports, 230 video surveillance cameras have been installed in order to help local authorities watch over public areas. In addition to this, another 1,051 high-definition surveillance cameras are expected to be installed across the city in the near future.

60 monitoring probes will be installed in the Hexi district next month. Of these, 5 are intelligent probes which feature facial recognition and an automatic alarm function. According to Wu Qingjiang, the deputy director of Sanya public security bureau, science and technology have become integral to their methods. Efforts should be made to further enhance the informationization level of public security organs.

Over the last two years, considerable progress has been made in accelerating the use of cutting-edge technology in police systems. Earlier this year, a new traffic monitoring center was put into operation, with a project investment of more than RMB 6,000,000. Besides this, the upgrading and reconstruction of the 110 alarm receiving center was completed in August. A total of RMB 4,100,000 has been invested into the upgrading project. Monitoring systems in local police stations have also been built, which is bound to greatly improve the efficiency of public security work.
