1st charter flight from Kazakhstan capital to Sanya launches on Oct 26
The first charter flight from Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to Sanya on a Boeing 757 took off on October 26th, kicking off the winter section of group tours to Hainan.
On 29th October, 2010, Sanya Shengda International Travel Agency launched charter flights from Kazakhstan's Almaty to Sanya, which were a success. The company has therefore decided to open a new route from Astana to Sanya from the 26th October, in order to meet public demand.
There is one flight every 10 or 11 days from Astana to Sanya on a Boeing 757, which has a passenger capacity of 235.
The route is expected to carry 10,000 passengers from Kazakhstan between the second half of 2012 and the first half of 2013.
