An airplane passenger, surnamed Yu, was detained and fined on 9th September after he falsely claimed there was a bomb on flight JD5168 when it was about to take off.

On 25th October, the passenger apologized in the newspapers and claimed he wanted to compensate Sanya Phoenix International Airport and Capital Airlines for the economic loss caused by the bomb hoax.

This kind of thing happens frequently. Bomb emergencies make airport management difficult for civil aviation, and in the end it’s passengers who have to pay for hoaxes.

Phoenix International Airport reminded passengers to always abide by laws and regulations to create an enjoyable flight experience.
