On 24th October, a strategic collaboration agreement was signed between the Hainan government and the Philips (China) Investment Co.,Ltd, in a bid to promote the research and development of electronic products in Hainan.
 
Philips is one of world’s Fortune 500 enterprises, taking the lead in healthcare, and quality lifestyle and lighting equipment. According to the agreement, Philips will set up a branch in the Hainan Qingshuiwan International Industrial Park.
 
Partnered with the Hainan Keli Electronic & Information Group, Philips is set to build the “Philips-Keli Hainan LED Lighting Joint Production Platform”. As well as this, it will provide technical support for the production and application of Hainan’s LED lighting, in order to push forward the sustainable development of Hainan’s lighting industry.  
 
Philips donated two automated external defibrillators (AED) to the Hainan Health Department after the signing ceremony. As well as this, Philips has also offered the Hainan Education Department 6,000 free energy-saving lamps, which will greatly improve the lighting conditions of five schools in Haikou, Sanya and Lingshui.
