The luxurious cruise liner "Legend of the Seas" arrived in Sanya on 19th October at 2 pm.

It brought 1,683 tourists to Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Port. Half an hour later, the tourists disembarked to explore the beautiful local scenery.

Several international cruises have made plans to come to Sanya after "Legend of the Seas", including the Super Aquarius and Costa Classic.

The "Legend of the Seas", which weighs 7 tonnes and can accommodate 2074 people, was the first of the Vision Class cruise ships owned by the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. It is said to be the largest international cruise ship to make China its home port, and now mainly operates the Hong Kong-Sanya-Vietnam route.

According to the head of the Sanya tourist association, the navigation season has marched in step with the Sanya tourist season after years of market development. The capacity of Legend of the Seas indicates that Sanya is expected to embrace a peak cruising season.

In addition to this, Star Cruises, the leading cruise line in the Asia-Pacific, is pleased to announce the return of SuperStar Aquarius to Sanya in November. It is her second seasonal deployment to Sanya, and is bound to bring more visitors to the city.
