On December 22nd, the first cargo ship in the Haikou-Vietnam international container liner route, which is Haikou's first direct container route to southeast Asia, successfully returned from its first voyage to Haikou Port’s container terminal.

This ship departed from the container terminal of Haikou Port on December 1st, directly sailed to Vietnam and docked at the Cat Lai Terminal of Ho Chi Minh City.

This route will be operated by Quanzhou An Tong Logistics Co., Ltd., which is going to arrange two container liners An Cheng Ji 2 and 6 to run along the route in two directions from Haikou and Vietnam respectively every five days. The whole voyage takes a total of 5 days.

The business scope of Vietnam and Hainan has been growing, with rising volumes of coconuts, rice, fruit and rubber moving between the two countries.
