Sanya to implement traffic control during 2012 Tour of Hainan

The 2012 Tour of Hainan International Road Cycling Race, also called the Tour of Hainan, will be held from the 19th to the 28th October this year. During the 9 day tour, the first, eighth and ninth stage of the competition will be carried out in Sanya on the 20th, 27th and 28th October.

In order to ensure road safety and alleviate traffic congestion, the Sanya government has decided to impose traffic controls on the followings roads:

1. Traffic control on 20th October ( stage-1):
Route: Haiyue Square-Yingbin Raod-Jiyan Ring Road-Jiyan Avenue-G98 Expressway-Tufu Bay Exit-Linshui Border

From 8 am.-10:30 a.m., traffic control will be carried out on road sections from the Haiyue Square of Yingbin Road to the Zhonghang Interjection of Jiefang Road.

From 10 a.m.-11:00 a.m., traffic control will be imposed on the whole section of the Yingbin Road, Jiyan Ring Road, Jiyan Avenue, and the G98 Expressway (Sanya section).

2. Traffic control on 27th October ( Stage-8)
Route: Wuzhi Mountain-Baoting-Ganshiling-G224 National Road-Belt Expressway-West Line Expressway-Sanya Bay Road-Haiyue Square.

From 12:00 p.m.-14:00 p.m., traffic control will be carried out on road sections from the Ganshiling to Belt Expressway, Belt Expressway to Tianyahaijiao Exit, Tianyahaijiao Exit to the West Line Expressway Exit, and Sanya Bay Road Exit to Haiyue Square.

All vehicles will be banned from entering the Belt Expressway from the Yalong Bay Exit, Lizhigou Exit, Sanya College Exit, Train Station Exit, Xinlian Exit and Phoenix Airport Exit during the traffic control.

3. Traffic control on 28th October (stage-9)
Route: Haitang Bay Central Square-Haitang Bay North Road-Westin Hotel Road-Haitang Bay North Road-Yilong Hotel Constrction Site Road-Central Square.

From 9:30 a.m.-13:00 p.m., all vehicles will be banned from the Haitang Bay Central Square and Haitang Bay North Road.
