New controllable taximeter system to be implemented in Sanya
The hand-tore invoice will no longer be used
Governmental departments in Sanya have made plans to transform the city’s taximeters in order to upgrade the city’s image as an international tourism island, and improve the reputation of the taxi industry.
Sanya has a total of 1234 taxies, amongst which 1084 will be involved in the changes made according to the national taximeter rules.
The controllable taxi meter system will be launched and the old hand-written invoice system will be phased out.
Many residents and tourists have been enthusiastic about the new automatic taximeter, “The machine-print invoice will clearly state the cost, date and time, which is convenient.”
