Sanya issues new regulation to crack down on illegal B&B inns
In order to improve the security and administration of B&B inns in Sanya, relevant departments in the city have recently issued new regulations in order to crack down on illegal B&B inns citywide.
Data revealed has shown that 461 out of 739 B&B inns are operating without a safety inspection certificate from the Fire Department. Other issues such as unapproved construction projects and substandard fire facilities and sanitary environments are also a problem, and might endanger the security and health of tourists who stay there.
According to the new regulations, homeowners renting out apartments as hotel rooms are required to apply for fire safety certificates before September 30th. In addition to this, the new regulation also makes it clear that owners who want to convert their residential home into hostels must have the approval of all property owners.
