Sanya issues new regulation to crack down on illegal B&B inns
In order to improve the security and administration of B&B inns in Sanya, relevant departments in the city recently issued new regulations to crack down on illegal B&B inns citywide.
Data revealed has shown that 461 out of 739 B&B inns are operating without the safety inspection certificate from the Fire Department. Other questions like unapproved construction project and substandard fire facilities and sanitary environment also exist, which might endanger the security and health of tourists.
According to the new regulation, homeowners renting out apartments as hotel rooms are required to apply for the fire safety certificates before September 30. In addition, the new regulation also makes it clear that owners who want to convert their residential location into hostels must have the approval of all property owners.
