Recently representatives from the European Overseas Chinese Women’s Union paid a visit to Sanya and Gu Jingqi, and were met by the Vice Mayor of Sanya Government.

Mr. Gu said that in recent years local government has done a lot of promotional activity in European countries to lure tourists to Sanya. He hoped that more cooperation between two will be made in the future to attract more tourists from European regions to spend their holidays or cast investment here.

Chen Minqi, the President of the European Overseas Chinese Women’s Union said that the organization is dedicated to engaging in all kinds of domestic public activities and social events. Being of Hainan descent, she is looking forward to making a contribution to her hometown.

Established in 2005, the European Overseas Chinese Women’s Union is a non-profit organization consisting of women’s communities from all European countries. It is one of the most important organizations for overseas Chinese women living in Europe.
