The sales of tropical fruit in the city’s fruit markets has seen a marked increase as Sanya has seen an influx of tourists during the Golden Week holiday.

Located at the Shengli Road, Honggang Market, one of the major wholesale markets in Sanya, has seen many tourists from both home and abroad buy tropical fruits during the national holidays.

A couple of fruit stall owners from Danzhou, Hainan, who have been doing business in Sanya for 5 years, have said that they have seen an increase in sales around the holidays.

Compared with the previous year, some owners of the market fruit stalls have said that the sales were more than double what they are on ordinary days.
