A network of 205 monitoring sites has been constructed in Sanya with the aim of providing the authorities with a comprehensive digital view of the city in order to monitor its development.

The first phase construction started in mid-May this year and was started its trial operation on 1st October. At present 205 surveillance sites have been set up across the city.

The project has had a total investment 19 million yuan, with 1,050 sites distributed at the key roads, schools, public facilities and green land areas.

Aside from this the installation will also cover some of the other major towns, including Tianya Town, Jiyang Town, Phoenix Town and Yacheng Town.
