The storm Gaemi formed as a tropical depression in the central part of South China Sea on Thursday, and is forecast to strengthen gradually as it moves southwest. The typhoon is expected to bring with it strong winds and more rain across the city this Friday.

The typhoon will disrupt flights, sea travel and Sanya holiday makers during the Golden Week holidays.
