Due to the huge number of tourists heading to Sanya to celebrate this year’s National Day holidays, the average hotel occupancy rate in the city reached 87.22% as of the 3rd October, the fourth day of this year’s National Day holidays, according to the latest information released by the Sanya Holiday Tourism Office.
On 3rd October, the scenic spots in Sanya were crowded with tourists from home and abroad. Meanwhile the number of tourists attracted to the tropical paradise forest park on Yalong Bay and Nanshan Tourism Zone has seen an enormous 90% increase from the same period last year..
On the 3rd October the duty-free store in Sanya received a total of 7,979 visitors. The most popular duty-free items sold were cosmetics, watches and luggage.
Due to the government’s new regulations average hotel occupancy rate in the city is up 8.99% on the 4th day of the week-long holidays. Some high-end hotels in Yalong Bay such as The Ritz Carlton, Sheraton Resort and Mangrove Tree Resort have an occupancy rate of nearly 100%.
