Haikou plans to build 6 aquatic bus lines
The Evergreen Park aquatic bus station is already under construction.
The Southern Metropilis Daily reports that, according to Haikou City Transportation authorities, an agreement has been made to begin construction on an Evergreen Park aquatic bus station and dock, moving the beginning of aquatic bus transportation in Haikou one step closer. Currently, construction at 4 major city docks has already begun, and is moving forward steadily, including Evergreen Park, West Beach, Haidian Creek, and the Mangrove Forest.
In the future, a total of 6 aquatic bus lines are planned, including:
East Line:
1. Evergreen Park, Baishamen Park, Xinbu Island, Dongying, Guilinyang, Mangrove Forest
2. Evergreen Park, Holiday Beach
3. Evergreen Park, Baishamen Park
4. Evergreen Park, Nandu River, Tanmen Ferry, Longtang
West Line:
1. Evergreen Park, West Beach, Holiday Beach, Government Administrative District, South Port, Yingbin Peninsula
Haikou City Transportation officials hope to develop water trasportation options more in the future, as this is not only a great way to get around the city, but is also a fun and interesting sightseeing opportunity, which can be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
