Passenger traffic at Sanya Phoenix Airport to hit 240,000 during long holidays

With the approach of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Golden Week holidays, Sanya will see an influx of tourists arriving during the 8-long holidays. According to Sanya Phoenix Airport, the passenger traffic at the airport is expected to reach 240,000, an increase of 18.1% from the same period last year.

To meet the increasing demands of passengers, airline companies plan to operate an additional 108 flights. These will mainly concentrate on flights to Shenyang, Harbin, Zhengzhou, Wuhai, Chengdu and Guilin.

To ensure the smooth journeys and safety of passengers, Sanya Phoenix Airport is preparing to strengthen its safety inspections and enhance the airport’s passenger handling capacity.
