A high-altitude ropeway will be constructed between Yalong Bay and Haitang Bay to form the Great Yalong Bay, according to information from the Yalong Bay Tropical Rainforest Park.

To further improve the facilities of the scenic spot, a high-altitude sightseeing ropeway was put into service in the resort this March. The 590-meter ropeway only takes visitors on a one minute and ten second journey from the summit to Orchid Valley. It is the first extreme sport of its kind in Sanya.

Yalong Bay Tropical Rainforest Park was officially open to tourists in 2009. The rate of tourists has now increased to more than one thousand per day. The resort was recently rated as the top tourist attraction in China.
