The 3rd China-Russia (Sanya) Tourism Conference was held in Doubletree by Hilton in Sanya on the afternoon of September 3. Representatives from 80 travel agencies and 50 star-rated hotels in Russia and part of star-rated hotels, attractions and scenic areas in Hainan Province attended the conference.
 
"With abundant tourism resources, convenient non-stop flights and preferential visa and airline allowance, Sanya has been the major travel destination for the tourists from Russia.” According to the introduction of relevant leader of Sanya Tourism Bureau, in 2011, Sanya received 225,400 Russian tourists and there were 282 Russia-Sanya chartered flights altogether. It is estimated that Sanya will receive 240,000 Russian tourists in 2012.
 
It is learnt that the representatives from the tourism industry in Russia will investigate part of hotels, attractions, scenic areas and health service enterprises in the coming week in Sany to prepare for the early reception of upcoming tourism peak season in Sanya. They will, based on the preference of Russian tourists, offer suggestions and opinions for improvement to the tourism industry in Sanya and carry out further cooperation with the tourism enterprises in Sanya as well.
