The 2013 Haikou International Beach Marathon is to kick off at 3:30 pm this Saturday November 30th on the Holiday Beach in Haikou city, Hainan.

China's first beach marathon is also the largest of its kind in Asia, the Haikou International Beach Marathon has attracted a total of 402 professional and amateur runners as well as nearly 2,000 mini marathon enthusiasts from 21 countries including China, the United States, Kenya, Ethiopia, kazakhstan, Ukraine and Belarus.

 

The match will not only include a 10.549 mile professional marathon and a 3 mile mini marathon, but also a variety of exciting activities, such as catching the waves in the twilight and watching a live performances of beach babies and a rock & roll band.

The Haikou International Beach Marathon will continue to be held for the next five years, aiming to build itself into not only the largest but also the most influential professional marathon event in China.
