Sanya Tourism Development Commission will join hands with idoido.com, a domestic professional wedding planning institution, to develop a series of wedding products with Sanya characteristics to promote the local wedding tourism market.

To enhance the competitiveness of the Sanya wedding tourism market, six sets of themed wedding styles designed by the IDO team will be featured in September and October and Sanya wedding firms will be invited to an exchange with their counterparts.

Over the past three years, the Sanya wedding tourism market has enjoyed rapid growth. In 2011, it is estimated that the total consumption relating to wedding photography, group and individual as well as honeymoon expenses has exceeded 100 million yuan.

An authority from the Sanya Tourism Development Commission said the collaboration allowed Sanya to keep in touch with global travel trends so they could adjust market strategy and promote the city as the best possible location for weddings for domestic couples.
