HNA Tourism Cruises Yacht Management Co., Ltd, the first local cruise company in China, will launch cruise service to serve home market. Domestic cities like Sanya and Tianjin are included in its initial plan.

HNA Tourism Cruises Yacht Management Co., Ltd, belonging to China-based HNA Tourism, a subsidiary of HNA Group, debuted at the 7th China Cruise Industry Development Conference held on 8th-10th September in Tianjin City.

In the middle of 2012, the company purchased a 47700-ton cruise ship called Pacific Sun from Australia's P&O Cruises. The ship, 223 meters in length and 31 meters wide, has 740 passenger cabins and is capable of accommodating around 2000 tourists.

The Pacific Sun will be rebuilt into the Henna cruise after being under operation of HNA Tourism Cruises Yacht Management. The cruise is expected to put into service at the beginning of 2013, offering short-haul and long-haul routes from Sanya and Tianjin as its home ports to appealing tourist destinations like Vietnam and South Korea.
