CDFG celebrates the success of Rimowa store in Sanya Duty Free complex
The 65sq m store, opened on 29 July, is only the high-end luggage brand’s second store in Asia, following an earlier entry in South Korea. It offers a wide range of suitcases and other luggage items in a range of colours and styles. Rimowa, which CDFG described as the world’s largest luggage brand, has opened a number of stores in key Chinese cities over recent years, including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenyang.
CDFG said the opening was part of a commitment to offer its customers “more comprehensive high-end choices”.
CDFG pioneered the concept of offshore duty free shopping at Sanya, where it opened on 20 April, 2011. The 7,000sq m store has enjoyed stunning success, buoyed by being able to offer Chinese tourists similar duty free shopping rights as foreign travellers.
