Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D Group COO (chief operating officer) Shen Yuanqing met with Sanya Mayor this week, discussed the intellectual-property issues and called for increased cooperation along with market expansion.
 
On Thursday, Mr. Shen said Sanya enjoys unique ecological environment and climate which are favored by many senior officials as well as leading politicians at home and abroad for vacations. The company is looking forward to greater investment and growth here.
 
Sanya Mayor Wang Yong said he hoped Microsoft and Sanya could take further steps to deepen the company's cooperation with the city in terms of talents training, intellectual-property development.
 
In recent years, both of sides have established a good cooperation relationship. And Sanya is pushing forward the development of marine-related emerging industry.
