Final qualifying for the 2011 OneAsia Tour will take place this week on the Resort island of Hainan off the southern coast of China where 91 players will seek the right to play the 13 currently scheduled events on the 2011 OneAsia Tour.
Only ten spots are up for grabs in terms of guaranteed status on the Tour although those finishing between 11th and 40th will likely earn several starts on the rapidly expanding tour.
26 of the 91 player field are made up of graduates from the Final Stage of Qualifying from the PGA Tour of Australasia’s Tour School with the balance of the field made up of golfers from around the globe.
It is the first time a Qualifying School is being staged by OneAsia.
The event will be played over 72 holes at the Mission Hills Resort in Haikou which is in the north of Hainan and begins on January 11th.
