Sanya tourism authority recently announced guidelines to speed up measures to standardize tourism in next 2 years since the city was selected by National Tourism Administration as the National Tourism Standardization Pilot City this March. 
 
Tourism standardization is one of the most effective ways to supervise the tourism market. With this keep in mind, Sanya will strive to achieve the goal in fields such as restaurants, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping and entertainment. 
 
To push forward standardization work on tourism management, some local key companies will be chosen as pioneers to accelerate the pace of establishing the system of tourism. 
 
By 2014, Sanya will see many more star-related hotels, restaurants and travel agents to guarantee the city’s leading position in terms of scale and level of hospitality industry. Meanwhile, Sanya will strive to have all 5A scenic areas and 5-star hotels meet the international standards.
