More than 70 young students from Taiwanese universities visited the Nanshan Tourism Culture Zone in Sanya on August 3rd after being invited to participate in the 14th Hainan-Taiwan Youth Summer Camping tour.

During the 2-day trip, the Taiwanese students went sightseeing in the 108-meter-high Nanhai Guanyin Statue and also got the chance to experience a variety of interactive activities held at the spot.

This year, major cities and counties for visiting during the summer camping tour include Sanya, Haikou, Lingao, Wanning and Dingan.

Each summer, Hainan authorities organize such a summer camping tour, allowing young students from Taiwan to gain a hands-on understanding of Hainan in terms of history, culture, ecology, technology and public health.
