The opening ceremony of the 2013 PKRA World Tour (Haikou Event) & 2nd Hainan International Kitesurf Contest was held on November 1st.
 
The 2013 PKRA World Tour (Haikou), a top international kite surfing event, kicked off at Haikou West Coast on November 1st, and will last 6 days until 6th November.

More than 40 professional surfers, including the world’s No. 1 male and female athletes Alex Pastor and Gisela Pulido, from over 10 countries and regions including Spain, the Netherlands and Brazil will clash in the 6-day Haikou event to get their hands on a slice of the total prize pool of $37,000.

The Haikou Event is the 10th event in the Pro Kite Rider Association (PKRA) schedule and is organized in collaboration with Yisheng and YouFirst Sports. It is a freestyle event.
