Sanya is planning to introduce a digital tour guide to facilitate tourism services across the city.

According to the scheme formulated by the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, the digital tour guide will provide a better navigation experience via electronic maps, voice, video, pictures and text that will encourage visitors to explore the fascinating tourist sites that Sanya has to offer.

The digital tour guide will focus on developing eight intelligent navigation systems that will be applied in tourism fields such as virtual tourism, government tourism affairs, ‘all-in-one’ travel cards, intelligent scenic spots and tourism monitoring and emergencies.

The guide will mark the start of Sanya’s digitization plan in the tourism industry, which will benefit all related industries and lead the way for China’s tourism market.
