Sanya has invested 1.6 billion yuan in the 2nd phase Project of Sanya Phoenix Island Cruises Port.
 
The project is located on the new artificial island in Sanya Bay. Upon its completion, the port will have 4 terminals for 100,000 to 225,000 GT ships with an annual passenger traffic volume of up to 1.6 million.  
 
According to the Department of Land and Resources of Hainan Province, the 2nd phase construction of cruise ports has been undergoing various environmental impact assessments.
