An online post on a famous domestic forum said that there are too many barbecue stands in Sanya Bay at night, which had caused pollution to the environment there. A reporter from Nandao Evening News went to the Sanya Bay and confirmed the message. Almost 50 stands were on the beach, running the barbecue business.
 
There was trash everywhere when the reporter came back the next day and the trash left behind severely impaired the beauty of the beach’s landscape. Most of the barbecue vendors were residences from the nearby village, Haipo village.
 
The head of Inspection department in this Area told the reporters that it was difficult to ban the barbecue business on the beach because it was how the residences nearby earned a living. The inspection department had to choose a more humane way that the vendors should clear the trash.
