From January to May this year 114 cruise ships called at Sanya, with visitors number over 80,000 according to Sanya Port.
To date, 474 international luxury cruise ships have called at Sanya and brought 550,000 tourists to the city, which made it the top domestic cruise port in terms of voyages.
"The voyages and tourists number, and the income from port charges have all exceed the number of last year’s. We expect 172 voyages to visit Sanya this year.” an official from Sanya port office said.
