Netizens call for protection of Sanya Bay after 1km trash washed ashore
Netizens have called for the protection of Sanya Bay after nearly 16 tonnes of beach trash was collected between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 29th June along the Sanya Bay, according to the Sanya Hexi Greenbelt Management Office.
Since May this year, Sanya authorities organized several clean-up collections along the Sanya Bay. Trash was seen everywhere as many litterbugs who have spent a great time by the shore decidedly left their garbage behind in the sea regardless of the consequences.
Hexi Greenbelt Management Office will strengthen the supervision and intensify efforts on clean-ups and they call for local residents and tourists to protect Sanya Bay and not to leave litter about when they have fun on the beach.
