Eleven members of Club Méditerranée(Club Med) and Shanghai Fosun Group visited Sanya on the afternoon of 2nd July. They discussed the establishment of Club Med in West Islet with relevant departments.
 
Previously, Club Med and Fosun Group had already spoken with the developers of West Islet and established a cooperative relationship. It would be the first Club Med in Hainan. According to the plan, the Club Med in West Islet will start construction in the beginning of 2013 and be put into operation at the end of 2014.

Henri Giscard d'Estaing, CEO of Club Med, said that he also wanted to open another Club Med in Haitang Bay and help build Sanya into a world-renowned traveling resort.
