HK-Sanya ‘Multi-stops Tour’ gains popularity among tourists

According to the Sanya Tourism Development Committee on 1st July, the Hong Kong-Sanya “Multi-stops Tour” has gained wide popularity among visitors since it was carried out in 2006.
The so-called “Multi-stops Tour” is a combinative travel product of Sanya and Hong Kong which enable visitors to go shopping in Hong Kong whilst spending their holidays in Sanya, in one trip.
Sanya is the first choice for international holiday resort in China while Hong Kong boasts the reputation of “shopping paradise”. Sanya and Hong Kong could compensate for each other’s tourism resources perfectly.
Meanwhile, the implementation of visa-free policy and other preferential policies provide wider cooperation space for Sanya and Hong Kong, and also contributes to promoting the international competitiveness of the two cities.
The Hong Kong-Sanya ”Multi-stops Tour” tourism pattern has sent nearly 70,000 Russian tourists from Sanya to Hong Kong last year, and the number is expected to exceed 100,000 in 2012.
According to an official of the Sanya Tourism Development Committee, cruise industry is the most attractive and promising industry under the “Multi-stops Tour” tourism pattern. To date, the Sanya Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal has launched the “Hong Kong-Sanya-Hong Kong” route, “HK-Sanya-Vietnam-HK” route and “HK-South Asia countries( Vietnam, Philippine and Thailand)-Sanya-HK” route.
