The leading cruise line operator in Asia-Pacific Star Cruises announced that its cruise liner SuperStar Aquarius will start its seasonal deployment in Sanya for a second time from November 2012.

The 51,000-gross-tonnage SuperStar Aquarius has been deployed to Taiwan, cruising from Kelung, Taiwan to Okinawa, Japan after finishing its first seasonal deployment in Sanya in April this year.

During its second five-month deployment, from November, 2012 to March, 2013, SuperStar Aquarius, departing from Sanya, will cruise to Danang, Halong Bay and Hue in Vietnam, offering a range of two and three night voyages.

According to Zhou Chunhua, the director of the Sanya Tourism Committee, the SuperStar Aquarius has created a brand new tourism type in Sanya. It not only helped to improve the infrastructures construction of Sanya cruise ports, but also laid the foundation to sustained development of Sanya’s cruise economy.
